How did you get to know about Strummin’?
I’m very proud to have been involved in this project from its inception. I was a KDZ volunteer when they started the project back in 2002. That was the first time I ever sang on a stage. 🙂
When did you first participate in Strummin’?
My first was Strummin’Home in 2002. Can’t say which is my favourite because they were all very different. The first was exciting because everything was new. In the following concerts, I was helping out with guitarists and teaching. Connecting with so many people was awesome. In later ones I got more involved in singing and performing. Last year I really enjoyed being a backing vocalist. The funniest thing I’ve done was singing the BeeGees song Night Fever in Strummin’007.
What would you tell people who are interested in taking part in Strummin’ this year?
This is an awesome opportunity to feel that you’re part of something bigger than yourself. It draws together so many singers, musicians and helpers for a great cause. It fills you with energy and positive spirit that is contagious.
When did you first start singing?
I have always been singing in choirs and churches but I guess I started taking it seriously after the first time I sang at Strummin’.
Which band/artist/concert/festival would you most want to watch live?
Elisa, Jason Mraz as well as the musical Notre Dame de Paris
Is there a local artist or band you look up to?
Relikc (as a faithful sister should say)
Are you involved in any other music-related projects?
I’m the project coordinator of ŻĦN Symphonik Choir. So I create choir arrangements for songs, teach and direct ,as well as sing with the choir and have a great time!
All-time favourite artist/band?
Current favourite song?
Jason Mraz – Life is wonderful
Current most-disliked song:
The problem with terrible songs is that sometimes they are so bad you actually have a laugh listening to.
Then there’s the whole RAP genre which I cannot stick to listen to. So I wouldn’t have a clue what songs are out there.
