It’s Andy’s turn to tell us more about himself and how he got to know about Strummin’. Andy is lucky enough to be closing the show on the 14 and 15 September at Tribute to the Greats!
Occupation: Student, starting my M.A. in English and the Media this autumn. I also teach English as a foreign language.
How did you get to know about Strummin’?
I have several friends who have participated in the concert along the years
When did you first participate in Strummin’?
This is my first, and I’m sure it will also probably be my favourite if I participate again 🙂
What would you tell people who are interested in taking part in Strummin’ next year?
Just do it 🙂
When did you first start singing?
I’ve been singing all my life but I only started to take it more seriously these last couple of years
Which band/artist/concert/festival would you most want to watch live?
Too many to choose just one, I’d love to see Florence and the Machine live though.
Is there a local artist or band you look up to?
Yes, I admire Joseph Calleja since he has gone places with his career that I can only dream of
Are you involved in any other music-related projects?
Yes, I’m part of a really cool gospel choir called EnKor
All-time favourite artist/band?
Growing up my music tastes were all over the place, I loved Backstreet Boys but I would go from the boy-band kind of songs to bands like Green Day and this is probably my favourite rendition of one of my favourite songs ever.
