Great news all around for Strummin’ Artists today! After what seemed to be a never-ending semifinal ridden with technical problems, over-used jokes and obnoxious commercial breaks, we got to know who made to the final of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2013. Our very own Janice Debattista and Gianluca Bezzina step on the stage again tonight after giving their best renditions of their songs, “Perfect Day” and “Tomorrow”. Both songs are co-written by Boris Cezek and Dean Muscat. A huge well-done from the team of strumminartists.com!
Janice and Gianluca weren’t the only familiar faces at the contest. We got to see Gabriel Cassar (Strummin’ Tribute to the Greats) backing Gianluca whilst playing bass. Nathalie Pace (Strummin’ Tribute to the Greats, Strummin’ Chroma) was backing Dorothy Bezzina in her entry “Starting From The End”. Johanna Galea (Strummin’ the 80s) is backing Deborah C in her song “Love-o-holic”. Finally, Jodi Heckenlaible (Strummin’ Tribute to the Greats) was part of Gianni’s team for the song “Us Against the Word”.
Needless to say, we’re chuffed that each and every one of them were taking part yesterday and are back on stage today! A huge break a leg to all of you! We know you will give it your all. The whole Strummin’ cast and team will be supporting you!
For all of you with a euro to spare, VOTE for these entries! Voting opens after all songs have been sung.
The contest will be aired at 20:40 (Central European Time) on TVM from the MFCC Grounds in Ta’ Qali. An alternative version of the show, with a running commentary by Norman Vella, will be aired simultaneously on TVM2 at the same time. A red-carpet show, featuring all the artists taking part tonight will start showing at 18:10 on TVM.
